Founded in the early 1930s the Crystal City Bakery rose out of love and a tradition in the Italian families of Corning for home baked breads, pies, pizzas and much more. Over the years the bakery has changed owners but the well known reputation of the "golden crust" remains the same.
As new owners, we wanted the bakery to continue with our strong Italian heritage. We renamed the bakery in October of 2005 to "Crystal City Café and Bakery." We remodeled the retail side of the bakery and added Starbucks® coffee for our customers. Our production facility is the largest one of its kind in the Twin Tiers. We have brought back the bakery's classic recipes combined with a "new world" appeal.
